OREO x Pokémon

Oreo x Pokémon was the fastest selling edition of the iconic sandwich cookie of all time in the U.S. It beat out previous launches with Game of Thrones and Lady Gaga and put the brand on the path to adding $1 billion in sales. (Source: MarketWatch)

To celebrate Pokémon’s 25th anniversary we made an entire campaign out of OREO cookies.

To launch, we created a film featuring an all-new Pokemon Trainer capturing her first Pikachu. Each frame was hand drawn, then converted into OREO Cookies.

Along with the launch of the film we also created a Billboard out of 8300 3D-printed, hyper realistic OREOS. Allowing our fans to get up close and personal with all the different embossments.

The pack was the first of its kind, with 16 custom-designed Pokemon embossements. The cookies were distributed with a rarity scheme that matched the original game, meaning some cookies were rarer than others. Mew being the rarest.

To say people lost their minds is putting it lightly.

These cookies took culture by storm, even becoming a Jeopardy question and a cold open for the Late Show.
